Student Exhibition: I Saw You Looking

I saw you looking (ISYL) is a juried show of current MFA and Certificate students on view at the New York Studio School from Friday, February 9, through Thursday, February 22. Juried by Dr. Lisa Freiman, Professor of Art History at Virginia Commonwealth University’s School of the Arts, ISYL features 14 inspirational pieces that beckon viewers to explore an open dialogue with the art. Since art is an essential part of our lives, this show asks, “How do you relate to what you are seeing?” Crucially, ISYL includes an interactive component by encouraging visitors to respond to the works by leaving a written note with their thoughts regarding what they saw, felt, and thought. The exhibition features work by; Neyla Arnas, Irit Baniel, Catherine Bickford, Leah Brown, Alecia Chenoa, Marie-Chloe Duval, Maximo Hasaj, Yael Herzog, Samantha Howard, Narelle Sissons, Paula Wachsstock.

Exhibition Dates:
February 9 – February 22
