Susanna Coffey lives and works in NYC and is the F.H. Sellers Professor in Painting at The School of The Art Institute of Chicago. She received her B.F.A. from the University of Connecticut and her M.F.A. from Yale. Her work has been reviewed by The New York Times, The Boston Globe, and Art in America, among others. She is the recipient of awards from the NEA and the Louis Comfort Tiffany, Guggenheim, and Marie Walsh Sharpe Foundations.
