Stanley Lewis: The Tradition of Landscape Painting

Artist Stanley Lewis will talk about seminal figures in the grand tradition of landscape painting including Claude, Constable, Poussin and Ruysdael.  Throughout his career, Lewis has held posts as teacher and critic at numerous institutions including Kansas City Art Institute, Smith College, and American University. Recently, his work was exhibited in See It Loud: Seven Post-War American Painters at the National Academy Museum, NY, where he is currently an academician.
