Paula Hornbostel is Director and a Trustee of the Lachaise Foundation (lachaisefoundation.org). She received degrees from Harvard and NYU and has lectured widely on the work of Gaston Lachaise. She has secured countless exhibitions of Lachaise’s work including an exhibition through Salander-O’Reilly Galleries that traveled to England, France and Italy, among others. Loans from the Lachaise Foundation can be seen internationally including the Portland Art Museum, the Jardin des Tuileries and the Bartow-Pell Mansion Museum and Gardens.

 

This lecture is presented in conjunction with an exhibition of works on paper by Gaston Lachaise at the New York Studio School. The exhibition “Exuberance on Paper: Early to Late Drawings of Lachaise” will be on view March 21 through April 24, 2016.
