Eric Gibson is the Arts in Review editor of The Wall Street Journal and one of the paper’s art critics. Prior to joining the Journal in 1998 he was executive editor of ArtNews magazine and, prior to that, the art critic for the Washington Times. He is the author of “The Sculpture of Clement Meadmore” (Hudson Hills Press, 1994) and “The Necessity of Sculpture: Selected Essays & Criticism, 1985–2019” (Criterion Books, 2020).
