Nancy Boas is an author and curator. Her biography, David Park: A Painter’s Life (University of California Press, 2012) chronicles the life and art of the founder of Bay Area Figuration. Boas has served as adjunct curator of American Paintings at the Fine Arts Museums and is the author of The Society of Six: California Colorists (University of California press, 1988 & 1997). Her article, “David Park and George Staempfli: A Painter and His Dealer” appeared in the Archives of American Art Journal in Spring 2015.
