Nancy Boas on David Park: A Painter’s Life

Art historian, author, and curator.  Boas’s biography, David Park: A Painter’s Life (University of California Press, 2012), chronicles the life and art of the founder of Bay Area Figuration. She has lectured widely on Park, including at the San Francisco Art Institute, Oakland Museum of California, Thomas Williams Fine Art, London, and the Richard Diebenkorn Symposium. Boas has served as adjunct curator of American Paintings at the Fine Arts Museums of San Francisco and is the author of The Society of Six: California Colorists.
