Matthew Affron, Muriel and Philip Berman Curator of Modern Art at the Philadelphia Museum of Art, is a co-curator of Matisse in the 1930s, an exhibition on view at the Philadelphia Museum of Art in fall 2022. Among his recent projects were Essential Duchamp (Tokyo, Seoul, and Sydney, 2018-19) and Paint the Revolution: Mexican Modernism, 1910-1950 (organized in collaboration with the Museo del Palacio de Bellas Artes, Mexico City, 2016-2017).
