Mary Heilmann and Jennifer Samet: In Conversation

Mary Heilmann: New York-based artist. Recent one-person shows include Kunst Museum Bonn, 2013; and Neues Museum, Nuremberg, 2013, in Germany; and the New Museum of Contemporary Art, NY, 2008 (retrospective). Represented in major collections internationally including: MoMA, NY; Smithsonian American Art Museum, Washington, DC; and Museum Ludwig, Cologne, Germany. Represented by 303 Gallery, NY, and Hauser & Wirth, Zurich.

Jennifer Samet: Professor of Art History, CUNY, and co-director, Steven Harvey Fine Art Projects, NY. She has published extensively on contemporary painting and post-war painterly representation in New York.  Samet curated major historical exhibitions on the Jane Street Gallery and the history of the New York Studio School. Interviewer-at-large for Hyperallergic Weekend Edition with her column, Beer with a Painter.
