Marcelle Polednik, PhD, is the director and chief curator of the Museum of Contemporary Art Jacksonville where she launched “Project Atrium,” a series of bold site-specific or site-sensitive installations by emerging or mid-career artists, now in its fifth year. From 2006 to 2011, Polednik was chief curator of the Monterey Museum of Art where she organized more than a dozen exhibitions, added more than 200 pieces to the collection, and secured several grants including the competitive Henry Luce Foundation Grant.
