Julian Bell: Painter and writer based in East Sussex, England. Frequent contributor to the New York Review of Books and the London Review of Books; author of What is Painting? (1999) and Mirror of the World: A New History of Art, (2007). Instructor at London University of the Arts. This talk is concurrent with a solo-exhibition of Mr. Bell’s work at Steven Harvey Fine Art Projects, NY, February 13 through March 17, 2013.
