Joan Snyder: On her Work

New York-based artist. Recipient of the MacArthur Foundation Fellowship, 2007. Represented in major public collections including the Metropolitan Museum of Art, NY; Museum of Modern Art, NY; and the Phillips Collection, Washington, DC. Solo exhibitions include a thirty five year survey at the Jewish Museum, 2005; Dancing with the Dark: Joan Snyder Prints 1963-2010, a travelling retrospective organized by the Zimmerli Art Museum, NJ, 2011; Paper Pulp Paintings, Cristin Tierney, NY, fall 2012; and Joan Snyder: Symphony 1968-2012, winter 2013, at Gering & López Gallery, NY.
