Jilaine Jones was born in the UK and connected to a community of sculptors in London; primarily based in the US, she developed as a solitary outlier whose ideas mix legacies. Exhibitions include: New York Studio School; Salander-O’Reilly Galleries; Paul Mellon Art Center; and the 2016 DeCordova Biennial. Grants and residency fellowships between 2012 and 2019 include: Pollock/Krasner Foundation; MacDowell Colony; Edward Albee Foundation; and Yaddo.
