Ian Alteveer on Vija Celmins: Process and Memory

Ian Alteveer is the Aaron I. Fleischman Curator, Modern and Contemporary Art, at The Metropolitan Museum of Art, where he co-organized the recently opened Vija Celmins: To Fix the Image in Memory. At The Met he also co-curated Everything Is Connected: Art and Conspiracy, retrospectives for Kerry James Marshall, Marisa Merz, and David Hockney; he also organized Roof Garden Commissions for artists Imran Qureshi, Dan Graham, and Pierre Huyghe. Celmins runs September 24, 2019, to January 12, 2020.
