Ian Alteveer is Associate Curator in The Metropolitan Museum of Art’s Department of Modern and Contemporary Art. He has organized three Roof Garden Commissions with artists Pierre Huyghe (2015), Dan Graham with Günther Vogt (2014), Imran Qureshi (2013) and installed William Kentridge: The Refusal of Time (2013-14). Together with Helen Molesworth of MOCA Los Angeles, and Dieter Roelstraete, formerly of MCA Chicago, Alteveer co-curated Kerry James Marshall: Mastry,opening this October at The Met Breuer.
This lecture coincides with the exhibition of work by Kerry James Marshall at The Met Breuer, on view from October 25, 2016 to January 29, 2017.
