Herbert George: Why I Look At Sculpture

Sculptor Herbert George (herbertgeorgesculpture.com) has studied at the University of Washington, the University of Pennsylvania, and the University of London, where he was awarded a Fulbright for English Romanesque sculpture. He taught at University of Chicago for over twenty years, was founding editor of TRACKS magazine and recently publishedThe Elements of Sculpture (2014).  Awards include a Mellon Foundation Grant, a Guggenheim Fellowship, and the Quantrell Award for Excellence in Undergraduate Teaching, and is a Getty Museum Scholar.
