Fulvio Testa and David Yezzi: the Freedom of the Artist

David Yezzi’s books of poems include Birds of the Air and Azores, a Slate magazine best book of the year. He writes about art for The Wall Street Journal and The New Criterion. Yezzi teaches in the Writing Seminars at Johns Hopkins University.

 

Fulvio Testa studied architecture in Florence and Venice. He has written and illustrated several children’s books. In 2012, The New York Review of Bookspublished Collodi’s Pinocchio with Testa’s illustrations. Since 1980 he has devoted himself to painting in watercolor and oils and has had numerous exhibitions in the US, Mexico and Europe.
