Eve Straussman-Pflanzer: Artemisia Gentileschi and the Wider World of Exhibitions on Italian Women Artists

Dr. Eve Straussman-Pflanzer is Curator and Head of Italian and Spanish Paintings at the National Gallery of Art. She has held curatorial appointments at the Detroit Institute of Arts, Davis Museum at Wellesley College, the Metropolitan Museum of Art, and the Art Institute of Chicago. Her most recent exhibition By Her Hand: Artemisia Gentileschi and Italian Women Artists, 1500–1800 traveled from the Wadsworth Atheneum to the Detroit Institute of Arts.
