New York-based artist. Recent solo exhibitions include Head and Plant at the New Museum, NY, 2012, and The Bent Leg at White Cube Gallery, London, 2011/12, which was accompanied by a book of her paintings with text by Robert Storr. Altfest received a studio at the Marie Walsh Sharpe Art Foundation, a residency at the Chinati Foundation in Marfa, Texas, and has been named a 2012-13 Guggenheim Fellow.
