Elena Sisto in Conversation with Elizabeth Hazan: Far is Near

NY-based artist Elena Sisto (b. 1952) received her BA in Art from Brown University and studied at NYSS. Solo museum exhibitions include Meier Museum, Lynchburg, VA, Katzen Museum of American Art at American University, and Miami Dade College Museum of Art and Design. Group exhibitions include the Wexner Center for the Arts and the 43rd Biennial of Contemporary American Painting at The Corcoran Gallery, Washington D.C. Sisto is the recipient of a Guggenheim Fellowship, two NEA Fellowships and was recently inducted into the National Academy Museum. Sisto is represented by Lori Bookstein Fine Art.

NY-based artist and curator Elizabeth Hazan attended Bryn Mawr College and NYSS, where she was awarded a fellowship to the Skowhegan School of Painting and Sculpture. In 2012 she was a resident of Yaddo. She has exhibited widely, most recently with Janet Kurnatowski Gallery, Brooklyn. Together with Jennifer Samet, she curated Rough Cut at Morgan Lehman Gallery in 2015.
