Dona Nelson: On Her Work

Artist Dona Nelson is Professor of Painting and Drawing, Tyler School of Art, Philadelphia. Her work was included in the 2014 Whitney Biennial by curator Michelle Grabner. She is the recipient of numerous awards including the Artists’ Legacy Foundation Award, 2013, and a Guggenheim Fellowship, 1994. Nelson is included in the collections of the Metropolitan Museum of Art, the Guggenheim Museum, and the Pennsylvania Academy of Fine Arts, among others. Recent solo exhibitions include Phigor, at Thomas Erben Gallery, NY, spring 2014.
