Clintel Steed: On His Work

Clintel Steed was born in Salt Lake City, Utah, and received a B.F.A. from the School of the Art Institute of Chicago, M.F.A. from Indiana University, and continued his studies at NYSS. Steed has taught at NYSS, Harold Washington College, and the Vermont Studio Center. In 2015, he received the John Koch Award for best young figurative painter from the American Academy of Arts and Letters. Steed lives and works in NYC.
