Christopher Lyon is the author of Nancy Spero: The Work (2010), the only comprehensive monograph devoted to Spero. He is the editor of David Smith Sculpture: A Catalogue Raisonné, 1932–1965, to be published in 2021, a project he is directing for the Estate of David Smith. His company Lyon Artbooks has packaged and copublished titles including Nancy Princenthal’s PEN award–winning Agnes Martin: Her Life and Art (2015); and Robert Storr’s Intimate Geometries: The Art and Life of Louise Bourgeois (2016). Lyon wrote the “Artful Volumes” column for Bookforum from 2013 to 2017.
