Christina Kee and Shura Chernozatonskaya: In Conversation

Shura Chernozatonskaya: Brooklyn-based painter, born in Moscow. Chernozatonskaya earned her BA from Oberlin College and her MFA from the New York Studio School in 2006. Solo exhibitions include Signalsat the Brooklyn Museum, NY, 2012, and Extremities at the Roza Azora Gallery, Moscow, 2011. Her work is represented in collections in the US and Europe, including the Museum of Modern Art, Moscow.

Christina Kee: Brooklyn-based artist and art writer, born in Toronto, Canada. Kee earned her BFA from Concordia University in Montreal and her MFA from the New York Studio School in 2006. She has written on the work of emerging and established artists such as Karlis Rekevics,Joseph Ryan, Wolf Kahn and most recently Jack Bush. Her reviews have been featured in artcritical.com, The Tabula Quarterly and Hyperallergic.
