Carter Ratcliff is a poet and art critic. A contributing editor of Art in America, he is the author of many books on art, including The Fate of a Gesture: Jackson Pollock and Postwar American Art and monographs on Joseph Cornell, Alex Katz, Andy Warhol, Kit White, and others. His most recent book of poetry is Arrivederci, Modernismo. Tequila Mockingbird, his first novel, was published in 2015.
