Bette Talvacchia: The Striking Case of the Two Michelangelos

Bette Talvacchia is Board of Trustees Distinguished Professor Emerita, University of Connecticut. She earned a Ph.D. in Art History from Stanford University. Her work focuses on Renaissance art and on gender issues. Her most recent book, The Two Michelangelos, began with an award in the NEH Public Scholar Program. Dr. Talvacchia has also held fellowships at the Metropolitan Museum of Art, The Institute for Advanced Study at Princeton, and at Villa i Tatti, the Harvard Research Center in Florence.
