Born in Selma, AL, and raised in Las Vegas, NV, Alison Elizabeth Taylor lives and works in Brooklyn. Solo shows include James Cohan Gallery LES; the Musée Historique, Chateau de Nyon, Switzerland; and SCAD. Taylor’s work is in the collection of the Brooklyn Museum of Art. Taylor has received a Louis Comfort Tiffany Foundation Award and Smithsonian’s Artist Research Fellowship Program Award. In September, she will have an installation in Makeshift, curated by Michelle Grabner at the John Michael Kohler Arts Center in Sheboygan, WI.
