The New York Studio School welcomes the public to visit the studios of MFA candidates & Certificate students. Located in the heart of Greenwich village, in the original home of the Whitney Museum of American Art, our historic light-filled spaces offer inspiration and infrastructure to current aspiring artists. This is a special opportunity to see recent works by students and gain insight into their processes and experiences at NYSS. Guests can also view current exhibitions in the Student Galleries and our main Gallery. An information booth will be staffed for visitors interested in learning more about the full-time and part-time programs offered at the Studio School.

MFA & CERTIFICATE:
The two-year MFA and three-year Certificate (In-Person and Virtual) offer artists the opportunity to expand the depth of their studio practice in their chosen area of study: painting or sculpture, with drawing as an integral component of the curriculum. Within a rigorous and encouraging environment, students are immersed in comprehensive studio classes, lectures by leading artists and art professionals, faculty-led visits to museums, meaningful feedback from instructors, and the freedom to investigate and experiment alongside a cohort of dedicated artists.
