Educated at Saint Martin’s School of Art and Birmingham School of Art in England, and the New York Studio School. One-person exhibitions include Robert Steele Gallery, NY; J.J. Brookings, CA; Lisa Kurtz Gallery, Memphis, and Victoria Monroe Gallery, NY. Selected collections include the Witherspoon Art Gallery, NC; Storm King Sculpture Center, NY; Arts Council of Great Britain; Museum of Northhampton, England; City of Higashi, Hiroshima, Japan; Neuberger Museum of Art, NY, and the American Ornamental Metals Museum, Memphis TN. Awards include Pollock/Krasner Foundation Grant; Guggenheim Fellowship, and the Ingram Merrill Sculpture Award. Teaching experience includes the Chautauqua School of Art, NY; Columbia University, NY, and Department Head at Bennington College, VT, from 1985-1989.
