Elisa Jensen

Attended Smith College, MA and the New York Studio School. Jensen was recently included in the American Academy of Arts & Letters Invitation Exhibition where she received the John Koch Award, given to a young painter of figurative work. In 2008, she was an artist/curator for the group show, “Visions of the Figure” at Repetti Gallery, Long Island City, and was included in the exhibition “6 Danish Artists in New York” at Trygvie Lie Gallery, Manhattan. Other major exhibitions include Perimeter Gallery, ME; Icehouse Gallery, Greenport, NY; Gallery 100, Sarasota Springs; Bickett Gallery, Raleigh; The Danish Consulate in New York; Washington Art Association, CT; The Bond Market Association, NY and the Morso Kunstforening, Denmark. Jensen was one of the inaugural group of artists to work in the “World Views” program at the World Trade Center, sponsored by the Manhattan Cultural Council, and is included in the publication Site Matters about the program artists.
