Charity Baker is a painter based in Brooklyn, New York.  Formally trained in architecture she received her BARH at Pratt Institute, and her M.F.A. from the New York Studio School where she is currently a faculty member. Baker is the recipient of several awards, including the Mercedes Matter/Ambassador Middendorf Prize, the Hohenberg Travel Grant, the Jance Chance Scholarship, and residencies in Caernarfon Wales UK, Chautauqua, NY, New York Studio School, and currently ARTCAKE in Brooklyn, NY.  Baker’s work is represented by Nancy Margolis Gallery, and resides in collections worldwide.
