2025 Certificate Completion Exhibition I
New York Studio School is pleased to present the work of our Certificate graduates in two exhibitions, the first of which features work by Virtual Certificate graduates Alecia Chenoa & Jane Schube.
Alecia Chenoa writes, “My work draws inspiration from Old Master paintings, Greek and Roman mythology, and contemporary artists. I reinterpret the symbolism found in these historical works, reshaping it through a modern lens to reflect my experience as a woman in the 21st century. By reordering traditional narratives and iconography, I seek to create a visual language that bridges the past and present, offering new perspectives on timeless themes.”
Jane Schube writes, “Painting takes me into a zone that connects me to myself and the world, especially plein air painting which challenges me to capture the moment. I am grateful for every opportunity to create; it often brings me moments of peace and joy in a crazy world.”
The second Certificate exhibition is on view April 24 – May 4, 2025 featuring work by graduate Suzanne Scott.
