Course Description

In this course students will paint from observation, pursuing powerful color and strong composition. Students will work from a model and reconcile a figure within its context. Skills such as drawing, color mixing, and close looking will be developed and strengthened. The class will look at works from great artists to inspire and inform the work. Zoom will be utilized as the virtual ‘studio’ and Padlet will be utilized as the virtual ‘studio walls’.
