Intersession Drawing Marathon – VIRTUAL: Drawing on Your Past / The Mind’s Eye with Graham Nickson & Guests

This exclusive Drawing Marathon is limited to twenty students. Register today to secure your spot and join us from your studio, anywhere in the world.

Course Description

This Intersession Marathon will be a rigorous five days where we explore the power of imagery and what makes it have its strengths. We will ask questions like where does mystery come from and how can we experience it for ourselves in our work?

It takes imagination to draw empirically and perceptually, so we will explore our imagination deeply. We’ll touch on the power of images and the process of creating it by metaphor. We may investigate the vehicle that these images are carried or displayed in, be it a scroll, a book or a cave. We will look at great examples from the past and present.
